In the Summer of 1986, a fateful day in July, a baby was born in Iowa City. His name? Curt. I went on to attend good ol’ Southeast Webster schools (before the whole “Grand” fiasco) in Burnside, Dayton, and then Burnside again. Throughout school, one thing became apparent to me. Everyone around me liked country music. That just wasn’t my style. I went to my first real big concert in 2001.. Ozzy Osbourne, Rob Zombie, Mudvayne and Soil. My uncle Greg took me down to Des Moines for the show, and I knew I found my calling. I’ve probably seen close to 200 concerts since then, my proudest ones being Metallica in Ames in 2004, and St. Louis in 2008, Iron Maiden in Chicago in 2010, and attending two Mayhem Festivals this last year, St. Louis and Chicago, seeing Machine Head, Megadeth, Godsmack, and Disturbed. But I digress, after high school I enrolled in Iowa Central Community College’s broadcasting department. After a few years there, I got a call telling me Three Eagles was hiring. Blam boom bang, the cards fell into place, and now I’m the night guy on Classic Hits 92.1 The Eagle. Metal!
