Man Arrested for Threats

Police in Central Iowa have arrested a man they say left messages at a high school threatening to kill a transgender student.  The Nevada Public Safety Department says police arrested 65-year-old Mondell Olson Wednesday following an investigation into that threat and a harassing voicemail left for a teacher at the high school.  Authorities say Olson left a message threatening to “kill, brand, and cause bodily harm,” to the student.  Olson has been charged with three counts of harassment and remains held in the Story County Jail on a $4,300 bond.
