Ames Software Company Part of $15.5M Expansion



A software company with offices in Ames and in California says it plans to add 700 jobs as part of an expansion which includes construction of a new building in Ames. WebFilings develops applications to help businesses file complex regulatory financial reports. The company received approval Friday for $5 million in loans from the Iowa Economic Development Authority. The company also gets $500,000 in tax credits from the state and 10-year property tax abatement worth $2.7 million from the city of Ames. The company says it plans to spend about $15.5 million for the expansion.
