Beacon of Hope Shelter to Open New Thrift Store and Recovery Ministry
Organizers behind a Fort Dodge men's shelter say they're using two donated buildings to open a thrift store and a recovery ministry. The Fort Dodge Messenger reports that newly acquired space by the Beacon of Hope will be used for a thrift store, offices and a recovery ministry for anyone affected by struggle.Shelter director Steve Roe says the group's current thrift store was not in a convenient location. This new space at 17 North 11th Street will give it its own storefront. The store will allow people to find good, affordable clothing for any occasion. The store will also continue to give clothes away to people who need them.
