Bond Set at $40,000 for Armed Robbery, Car Chase Suspect



Bond was set at $40,000 for a Fort Dodge man being held on multiple charges stemming from an alleged attempted robbery and car chase on Wednesday. 18 year-old Adarius Clayton made his initial appearance in Webster County Magistrate Court on felony charges of 1st degree burglary, 2nd degree theft, eluding, and possession of offensive weapons. Clayton is accused of leading officers on a high speed chase Wednesday afternoon after robbing the Coalville Stop N Shop. Clayton allegedly threatened the store clerk with a sawed off 12 gauge shotgun. His preliminary hearing was scheduled for November 8. Also, his passenger, 21 year-old Adrianna Trevino, was ordered held on $8,000 bond on an alleged probation violation and failure to appear for an arraignment charge.
