The Iowa State Patrol is investigating an early Saturday morning double fatal accident in Humboldt County. Lieutenant Kelly Hindman says at 1:45 a.m., a single-vehicle accident occurred near the intersection of 130th Street and Rose Avenue near Livermore. 18 year-old Humboldt resident Cody Weisbrich was driving northbound on Rose Avenue when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll over. Two passengers, 18 year-old Cody Schachtner and 19 year-old Joshua Naeve, were killed as a result of the crash. A third passenger, 19 year-old Landon Nokleby was flown to Iowa Methodist Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Weisbrich and another passenger, 19 year-old Tyler Zaugg were treated and released from Humboldt County Hospital. The accident remains under investigation and any criminal charges are pending.
