DOT Says Hamilton County Construction will Cause Closures

The Iowa Department of Transportation says two construction projects in the Webster City area will cause intermittent closures through the summer months. Work on U.S. Highway 20 and Iowa 17 will begin on Monday and is expected to be complete by early October. The intermittent lane closures will be during daylight hours Mondays through Saturdays. On Highway 20, closures will occur in both directions between exit 136 and exit 145. On Iowa 17, the closures will occur between Hamilton County Road D-65 and Highway 20. The DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, stay alert, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones.
