Daniels Pleads Not Guilty in Stabbing Incident

A Fort Dodge woman has pleaded not guilty to a charge stemming from a stabbing incident earlier this month. 24 year-old Vanita Daniels entered the written plea on Tuesday, pleading not guilty to a Class C felony charge of voluntary manslaughter. Defense attorney Joe McCarville also filed a motion for a bond review. Daniels remains held in the Webster County Jail on $10,000 bond since allegedly fatally stabbing her brother, 19 year-old Marcquis Collier in May 9. No trial date has been set at this time.
