The Fort Dodge baseball team lost the 4-A state title game Saturday night at Principal Park in Des Moines.

The Dodgers fell short by a score of 10 to 0 in their challenge of the Ankeny Hawks.

It would have been Fort Dodge's first baseball championship in more than 40 years. The Dodgers last won the state title in 1969.

There will be a welcome home ceremony Sunday at 1PM  at Dodger Stadium.
