FD Council to Discuss Warden Plaza Redevelopment, Street Reconstruction Contract
The Fort Dodge City Council will be in session this evening. Their work will begin at 5:00pm with workshop discussions followed by the 6:00pm regular business session. Scheduled for one of the workshops is a discussion on a redevelopment proposal of the vacant Warden Plaza. No details of the proposal have been released. The plaza has been vacant for about 10 years. During the council's regular session, they could approve a contract for the reconstruction of First Avenue South between 4th and 9th streets. Decorah-based Wicks Construction submitted the only bid for the work, at over $3.8 million.
