FD Police Investigating Sunday PM Shooting Incident

The Fort Dodge Police Department says a resident was injured after being shot by an unknown object Sunday night. Police Chief Tim Carmody says officers were dispatched to the 100 block of North 10th Street at 8:20pm Sunday to investigate a person who may have been shot. They were directed to the sixth floor of the Biltwell Apartments, where the found 26 year-old Fort Dodge resident Perne Struchen with visibile injuries to his arm. He was transported with non-life threatening injuries to UnityPoint-Trinity Regional Medical Center. The original incident occurred in the area of 200 North 14th Street, as Struchen left a blood trail walking to the apartments.
