Fort Dodge Public Defender Seeking Republican Nomination for County Attorney
A Fort Dodge attorney would still like a shot at being Webster County's next prosecuting attorney. The Fort Dodge Messenger reports that Joe McCarville, an attorney in the public defender's office, will look to seek the Republican nomination for Webster County Attorney. According to the report, McCarville originally switched his party affiliation from Republican to Democrat in order to seek the nomination. During a Democratic convention on July 1, current Webster County first assistant attorney Jennifer Benson received the nomination. The Webster County Republican Party will have a nominating convention on July 31 at its downtown Fort Dodge headquarters.
