A Fort Dodge woman was sentenced to prison for pretending to be a military veteran. The Webster County Attorney’s Office says 33 year-old Lynnette Ladd will serve up to five years in prison after pleading guilty to second-degree Fraudulent Practices. Ladd admitted to falsely representing herself as a veteran between April of 2012 and April 2013 in order to obtain healthcare and compensation benefits. The total value of the VA benefits fraudulently obtained was over $9,400 and included inpatient services, outpatient services, and prescriptions.
