Havelock Man Accused of Assaulting Sheriff's Deputy with Knife
Pocahontas County authorities say a Havelock man was recently arrested after assaulting a police officer. Pocahontas County Sheriff Bob Lampe says 53 year-old Paul Henderson was ordered held on $10,600 bond on multiple charges including assault on a peace officer while displaying a dangerous weapon. On May 23, Pocahontas County deputies were serving a warrant to Henderson's home in the 1200 block of Brenton Avenue. According to a statement from Lampe, Henderson was standing outside the house, displayed a knife, and became aggressive with the knife towards one of the deputies.
