A Humboldt landmark was damaged during a Tuesday evening fire. Humboldt County Sheriff Dean Kruger said crews were dispatched to Pasquale's Italian Restaurant at 10:27 last night after a fire was reported. Humboldt Volunteer Fire Chief Tony Hosford reported that the fire appeared to start when a fan shortened out, leading to paper and cardboard catching fire. Hosford also reported significant smoke and fire damage to the interior of the restaurant. It is not know if any injuries were immediately reported or how long Pasquale's could be closed.
