Intense Heat Continues, Officials Urge Extra Caution



Local emergency officials are reminding area residents to take extra caution this week as temperatures near or even reach triple digits. Several area school districts have planned to dismiss students early for the rest of the week, however safety officials say everyone should take care of themselves and their loved ones. Fort Dodge Fire Captain Steve Hergenreter says especially this week, people with preexisting health conditions and the elderly should receive extra attention:
