Iowa Murder Suspect Caught in Chicago

IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) _ A 27-year-old man charged with killing a man in Iowa City in June has been captured in suburban Chicago.

Iowa City police say Brandon Brown was found Tuesday night in South Holland, Ill., and taken into custody by Cook County sheriff's office.

The Gazette says Brown waived extradition Wednesday morning and will be brought back to Iowa.

Brown is charged with first-degree murder in the June 21 shooting death of 30-year-old Donelle Lindsey.

Police say Brown shot Lindsey multiple times with a handgun after they got into an argument, and then fled. Police say one of the witnesses is an acquaintance of Brown and others picked him out of a photo lineup.
