Iowa Sailor Returns Home from Afghanistan

WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) _ An Iowa sailor wounded in Afghanistan is home for a weekend visit.

Taylor Morris, of Cedar Falls, lost parts of his legs and arms in a bombing on May 3. He arrived at the Waterloo Regional Airport on Thursday. It's his first trip home since he was injured.

Hundreds of people holding flags and posters lined the route from the airport to Cedar Falls.

Morris is in the early stages of recovery at Walter Reed Medical Center in suburban Washington, D.C. Morris met President Barrack Obama in July.

After his visit, Morris will return to Walter Reed.
