MES, Iowa (AP) _ A memorial will be held on Sunday for Iowa State University journalism professor and lawyer Barbara Mack, who died in her Des Moines home.
Family spokeswoman Diane Graham says the memorial will be at 2 p.m. at Hoyt Sherman Place in Des Moines.
Mack died on Aug. 23. The university said she suffered from unspecified health problems. She was 59.
Mack graduated from ISU, and earned her law degree from Drake University. She joined the faculty in the Greenlee School of Journalism and Communications in 1986 after working as general counsel for The Des Moines Register. She worked as an aide to former Iowa State President Martin Jischke from 1991 to 1994.
