No Injuries, One Arrested in Humboldt Police Standoff

A Humboldt man is in custody after a standoff situation with law enforcement came to an end late Tuesday afternoon. The Humboldt Police Department says 34 year-old Adolfo Flores is facing multiple charges including two counts of false imprisonment, aggravated domestic assault, and going armed with intent. Several area law enforcement agencies responded to a hostage situation at the Lomitas Mexican Restaurant, and after about 90 minutes of negotiating, Flores surrendered. No shots were fired by Flores or law enforcement and no injuries were reported. Other agencies at the scene included the Webster County Sheriff's Office and Iowa State Patrol.
