North Liberty Woman Gets Probation for Business Theft



A  North Liberty woman has been given probation after making a plea deal in an Iowa City business theft. 34 year-old Melissa Frost was convicted on two counts of tampering with records. Prosecutors dropped 11 other counts in exchange for her pleas.  Frost was accused in April 2012 of using money from a business savings account to cover more than $22,000 in personal credit card bills. The criminal complaint says she manipulated the financial records of C & M Tax Service LLC, a company in which she had an ownership interest.
