Northwest Iowa Man Charged with Arson
Police recently arrested and charged an 18 year old Northwest Iowa man with arson and reckless use of fire. Cody Cooley of Fayette was arrested Thursday and faces two counts of 2nd degree arson and five counts of reckless use of fire. The charges stem from a yearlong investigation into fires in West Union and several other communities. The fires were set to grass, brush, and trash cans in the area. Cooley is being held on $25,000 cash bond in the Fayette County Jail.
