Salary Increases for Webster County Officials Recommended
Increases in salary for elected officials was the recommendation of the Webster County Compensation Board on Wednesday. The Fort Dodge Messenger reports the seven-member board met yesterday and recommended raises for all county elected officials. The board recommended 0.9% percent raises for the Webster County Board of Supervisors and 5% raises for officials including the sheriff, county attorney, auditor, treasurer, and recorder. According to the report, compensation board chairman Dale Struecker says the board aims at keeping Webster County's elected officials salaries at around 17th highest in the state. Struecker will present the recommendations to the Webster County Board of Supervisors next week, which must be approved.
