Sen. Beall Working to Establish Air Service Committee
In light of Fort Dodge currently having no local airline service, one state senator is hoping to establish an air service committee in Iowa. In an email, State Senator Daryl Beall says he is floor-managing an amendment to the Department of Transportation appropriations bill to establish the committee. Beall says the committee would focus on essential air service and commercial air service retention and expansion. Since February 1, Fort Dodge has not had commercial flights after Great Lakes Airlines suspended service.
