Several agreements for business projects were approved by the Fort Dodge City Council on Monday night. Mayor Matt Bemrich says a lot teamwork went into getting the projects to this point:
The first item involved the sale of three acres in the east industrial park for $75,000 to Minnesota-based Ebert Construction. Fortune 500 company Frito Lay plans to build a distribution center that will employ 10 people. The council also approved agreements with Kemna Properties for a new oil change station and Foutch Brothers LLC for the conversion of the old Phillips Middle School into apartments. Plans for a new hotel at Fifth Avenue South and Kirkberg Boulevard were also approved.
