St Edmond Softball Program to Help Out Friend in Need

The St Edmond Softball program will play for more than just wins tonight when it takes the field at Harlan Rogers Park. The St Edmond community will be having a tribute night for 18 year-old Alli Huss, a 2013 grad who is currently battling leukemia. In order to raise funds for the Huss family, the program will have on sale raffle tickets and orange "dunk on cancer" shirts, which the St Eds girls will wear as their jersey tops. In addition, local photographer Dale Wooten, varsity softball coach Paul Hunt, and varsity basketball coach Scott Messerly have agreed to shave their heads if fundraising goals are met. Hunt says it's another opportunity for the community to come together:

The JV game vs Algona will start at 5:30pm, with the varsity to follow at 7:30pm.
