Supervisors Approve Landowner Agreements for Undeveloped Acres at Ag Park

The Webster County Board of Supervisors approved an agreement with landowners of 447 undeveloped acres at the North Central Ag Industrial Park. Kelly Halsted with the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance says the agreement is not to purchase land, but does lock in prices for a three-year window:

Two of the three landowners agreed to a price 2 1/2 times the crop suitability rating, while the other landowner agreed to a set dollar amount that would increase in each of the three years. The Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance is in the process of having those 447 acres state certified as a job-ready site.
