Sups Award Contract for Bridge Replacements
Efforts to replace 9 bridges in Webster County took a step forward Tuesday. In April, the Webster County Board of Supervisors awarded bids for six of the nine bridge replacements and yesterday, approved a contract for the final three. Pending review from County Engineer Randy Will, the supervisors awarded a contract to Midwest Contracting for $125,300 for the three bridge replacements. The board also accepted bids from L.A. Carlson Contracting, Reilly Construction, and Rognes Brothers Excavating. Will says construction on the three bridges, located in the southwest part of Webster County, will begin no later than mid-September. The construction work should keep the bridges closed for about a month.
