After winning each of the last three meetings, including last season's regional final, the Ankeny Hawks have officially become a thorn in the side of the Dodgers. Last night at Harlan Rogers Park, the defending state champions took two from the Dodgers, winning game one 3-1 and 6-1 in game two. Hawk pitcher Serena Blank went the distance in both games, picking up her eighth and ninth wins of the season. The Dodgers lone run of the first game came on an RBI from Maddie Bodholdt, while Mallory Killian drove in the only run in game two. The Dodgers (19-10) will host Marshalltown for two games tonight at Harlan Rogers.
