I am the Morning Show Host on 92.1 The Eagle. I grew up in San Diego, California. I started working in radio in 1998 as a broadcaster here in Iowa. After graduating from the Broadcasting program at Iowa Central Community College in 2000, I managed a video production studio while simultaneously working in radio, giving me the chance to be creative to a public audience in multiple mediums. Over the years I have worked in both Fort Dodge and Humboldt radio stations and have done everything from broadcast shows, news and copywriting to production.
In my spare time I croon. In addition to being a karaoke junkie, I was the lead singer/songwriter/Bass player for the Pocahontas based classic rock band "House of Cards" for 6 years before moving to the lead vocal role in the Storm Lake based progressive blues band "The Jacob Lee Band". Then I moved back to the Bass playing the fat strings and singing for the Fort Dodge based cover band "Beaver Creek". In the last year I moved to writing my own music with my husband (ex-Bass player for the Stumblestons).
I dabbled in science for a bit as well completing my Biotechnology degree at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge. I volunteer for many events for American Cancer Society, The American red Cross and other non-profit organizations. I donate blood regularly and help Lifeserve Blood center with media relations for all their major drives. I volunteer at the Villa Care Nursing Home in Fort Dodge as well.
