|The Spay It Forward Dinner and Auction was held on Thursday, March 8, 2012 from 6:00-9:00pm at the Willow Ridge Golf Course, Restuarant and Bar. Chef Micheal and his culinary students from Iowa Central Community College were on hand to make a delicious pasta supper for all in attendance. There was a silent auction throughout the night with the Live Auction of the Dog Houses starting at 7:00pm. The Live Auction started with a attendee getting to choose the Dog House of their choice from the 6 Dog Houses up for auction. Nate Gibson choose the Three Eagles Communications Dog House. Next up for auction was the Ugly Purse. The Ugly Purse is a purse that is ugly and is put up front so that everyone can put some money into it, how ever much they want. Once we started the auction, the purse was auctioned off without anyone knowing how much money was put in there. A custom guitar by Steve Gibson was next up. Next, the Dog Houses were auctioned off. All of the Dog Houses were sold, some more that once or twice. After the Live Auction, the final bids were collected for the Silent Auction. All of the proceeds from ticket sales, the Live and Silent Auctions and donations go towards the Spay It Forward fund that gives vouchers for those who are unable to afford to get their pets spayed and neutured the chance to get it done at a low cost to them. Thanks to all who participated in this years Spay It Forward!!
