A Wright County man has been ordered to stand trial in connection with the death of his daughter.

A magistrate has refused to dismiss child endangerment charges against 29-year-old Robert Valentine, Junior of Eagle Grove.  He is accused of allowing his girlfriend to abuse his children, 5-year-old Mikayla and 9-year-old Robert.  Mikayla died of her injuries in January of 2011.

The girlfriend Kara Crapser is now in prison for fifty years after pleading guilty in April to second degree murder.

Valentine is charged with child endangerment for causing death and injury.  During the preliminary hearing Wednesday in Wright County Court, Valentine's attorney tried to convince the court to drop the charges against his client.  Magistrate William Long refused and sent the case to district court.
