BRITT, Iowa (AP) _ A crop-duster pilot has been injured in a crash near Britt in north-central Iowa.
Authorities say the accident occurred about 4:25 p.m. Tuesday. The plane came down in a cornfield three to four miles northeast of Britt.
Witness Jim Mattox says the plane may have hit a power line or pole before crashing. Hancock County Sheriff Scott Dodd says the plane flipped upside down upon hitting the ground. The pilot got out and was found in the field about 100 yards from his plane.
The pilot was taken to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for treatment. His name and condition haven't been released.
