Thursday at 2:11 PM officers with the Fort Dodge Police Department were dispatched to the Monterrey Mexican Store located at 1214 Central Ave., Fort Dodge in reference to an Armed Robbery which had just occurred. Officers arrived on scene at 2:13 pm and began to search the area and gain information from the victim.

Information indicates that two males armed with handguns entered the store and demanded money from the clerk. The suspects fled the scene to the east with an undetermined amount of cash. No injuries were reported during the robbery.

Both suspects were wearing hooded sweat shirts with the hoods up during the incident. Suspect #1 is described as a black or Hispanic male with light complexion, average build and approximately 5’ 9” tall. Suspect #2 was a slender black male standing approximately 6’ tall.
