The cause of Friday night's fire that destroyed a landmark dance hall in Webster County has not been determined.
The Bohemian Hall, the site of dances since 1939, went up in flames Friday night. The fire near Callender was reported at about 9:45 p.m. By 10:30 p.m., burning sections of the roof began falling, forcing firefighters to move back. No one was injured in the blaze.
The walls of the building are still standing, but, as of Sunday, it remained unsafe to enter the structure to investigate the cause. The remains are still smoldering filling the immediate area with smoke.
