Three Juveniles Arrested in Fort Dodge Shooting

Late Monday night, Fort Dodge Police officers were at the house at 501 1st Avenue North in reference to a person who had been shot with a BB gun. The victim was 24 year old Fort Dodge Native Tayton Green. Green was shot in the right calf and sustained a minor injury. Green was able to give a detailed description of the vehicle that the suspects occupied.

Within approximately ten minutes after the incident, Fort Dodge Police Officer Tim Breon spotted a car fitting the description and stopped it. The vehicle had 3 juvenile males inside and Officer Breon was able to locate the BB gun and other evidence in the car related to the investigation. The juvenile males were then detained and taken to the LEC.

The three juveniles were charged with intimidation with a dangerous weapon and criminal mischief. Their names have not been released due to their age. Four other victims have called to report that their car windows had been shot. The Fort Dodge Police believe that there are more victims who have their car windows shot out and could be related to this investigation. If so, they are urged to call the Webster County Dispatch at 515-573-2323.
