Shots Fired at Mobile Home in Des Moines



Somebody shot at a Des Moines couple’s mobile home in the middle of the night, police said.

No one was injured in the incident, which occurred just before 2 a.m. Thursday in the 7300 block of Fleur Drive, but two children were in the home at the time.

According to Des Moines police, officers found six bullet holes in the home six shell casings in the front drive.

The two adult occupants of the home were sleeping when the shooting happened and their children weren’t home at the time, authorities said.

Two cousins, ages 11 and 9, where staying with them and sleeping in the back room. Police said the two were still asleep when officers arrived.

No one, including a witness, saw or heard any vehicles leaving the scene after the shooting.

One of the victims said he’d had problems with at ex-girlfriend and a neighbor may not like him, but said he doesn’t know anyone who would shoot at his home.

No suspects were listed.
