Beloved ISU Professor Dies



AMES, Iowa (AP) — Longtime Iowa State University journalism professor Barbara Mack has died, the Iowa State Daily newspaper reported Thursday morning.

Mack was found unresponsive on the floor of her home early Thursday morning, Michael Bugeja, director of the Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication, told the Daily.

Bugeja said resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful.

Mack was an associate professor of journalism and mass communication.  She graduated from Iowa State and went on to get a law degree at Drake University.

Her LinkedIn profile said Mack taught at ISU for more than 26 years.
