COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (AP) _ Council Bluffs police say the morning sun could be a factor in a deadly accident between a car and a pedestrian.

The Daily Nonpareil says police say 63-year-old Mae Zhang was killed when she was hit by a car at an intersection Thursday morning.Officials say she was crossing the street when an eastbound car hit her around 7:15 a.m. Thursday Morning

Sgt. Bob Sellers says police believe the sun was in the driver's eyes. The accident remains under investigation.
