WOODWARD, Iowa (AP) —It’s an incredible outpouring of support for a Woodward family in need.
Stephanie and Aaron Sennert’s baby needs to be hooked up to an oxygen machine to survive, and Alliant Energy recently threatened to cut off the family’s power because they are behind on bills.
Iowans have stepped up to help. Dozens of viewers donated money for their power bill.
The family said they never expected this. They said they did the original story to bring awareness to the fact they felt Alliant Energy wasn't working with them to postpone a payment due to health issues.
Now that payment is paid in full because of the kindness of strangers.
