WEST DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Two red cars crashed head on Grand Avenue in West Des Moines Tuesday morning.

One car was westbound and the other eastbound when they collided at Grand Avenue and 15th Street.

Police said they believe the westbound car crossed the center line and hit the eastbound.

One of the drivers had to be cut out of the car.  Both drivers were taken to the hospital.  Their names and conditions are not yet available.

The crash remains under investigation.
