The Fort Dodge Dodgers (1-3) got their first win of the season by topping the Mason City Mohawks 28-17 in the rivalry game to retain the traveler's trophy. Last night's win for the Dodgers was their ninth straight victory over the Mohawks in the rivalry series. The Dodgers were led by Devon Kirby's 101 rushing yards which included two scores on he night for him as well. The play of the game though was Austin Anderson's 99 yard fumble return for a touchdown which made the score 21-10 at that time of the contest.
The St. Edmond Gaels (4-0) rolled past Pocahontas Area Pomeroy Palmer High School 48-0 to remain undefeated on the season. The Gaels were led by Alex Miracle who rushed for 191 yards including four scores on the night.
The South Central Calhoun Titans (2-2) fell at home to the hands of Carroll Kuemper High 46-12 in Lake City.
