Bond was set at $1 million dollars for an Early man accused of killing his mother two days after he was released from prison. Yesterday, 21 year-old Kirk Levin was charged with murder, four days after the body of his 45 year-old mother Marylin Schmitt was found in her home in the 2200 block of Ira Ave in Early. Autopsy results confirm Schmitt died of "sharp force injuries". On the same day officers found her body, Levin was also charged with kidnapping and assault in a separate incident, after a 21 year-old woman reported she was kidnapped by Levin. Should Levin be able to post bond, home confinement would be required.
