A trial has been scheduled for a Mason City man accused of child endangerment that resulted in the death of his toddler son. 29-year-old Kenneth Adams has pleaded not guilty to the charge and will stand trial beginning April 2. Officers were sent to a Mason City home on Oct. 27 to check on an unresponsive child. Police say 19 month-old Owen Adams was taken to Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, where he died. The State Medical Examiner's Office ruled the death a homicide.
