The Fort Dodge Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a Fort Dodge man. In a news release, Police Chief Tim Carmody says officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Central Ave on Saturday evening and found two unresponsive people in an apartment. Upon arrival, paramedics found 36 year-old Carrie Perez unconscious. She was transported to Trinity Regional Medical Center for treatment. Crews also found 42 year-old Stephen Torrez, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Carmody says at this point, there is not sufficient evidence that indicates foul play as a factor. Investigators are awaiting results of an autopsy.
