FD School Board holds PPEL Forum
The Fort Dodge Community School District continues to reach out to voters in anticipation of a February 5 special election. Following it's regular school board meeting, board members held a community forum at the Friendship Haven's Celebration Center to answer questions regarding the physical plant and equipment levy request. After failing at the polls in December, Superintendent Doug Van Zyl says board members have been much more aggressive this time around in getting the word out:
The district is asking voters to approve a $0.67 levy renewal and a $0.67 increase. If approved, the levy would generate about $1.5 million dollars annually for the district.
