A local high school coaching legend was recently recognized for his achievements at the school he previously worked for. St. Edmond's football coach Dick Tighe, who won his 400th career football game this past season, was recognized at halftime of the Webster City-St Eds basketball game on Tuesday. Tighe, who became the first coach in Iowa's history to reach 400 wins, coached and taught at Webster City High School for more than 30 years. In 59 years on the sidelines, Tighe owns a career mark of 400-153-8. 220 of those wins came with Webster City.
