Next month, Fort Dodge City Council will vote on whether or not to approve pay increases for themselves. On Monday, the five-member Salary Advisory Review board voted to recommend a $1,300 pay raise for Fort Dodge City Council members, but did not recommend an increase for the Mayor's position. The current salary for a city council member, which has not changed since 2002, is $4,800. The proposed increase would make it $6,100. The mayor's salary of $15,000 has stayed consistent since 2006. Council will vote on the proposed change at its meeting in March.
