The Webster County Supervisors are denying a local aging agency's claims that the county owes it money. In a letter written to the county, the Elderbridge Agency on Aging claims the county owes over $67,000 in funding requests dating back to 2008. In 2008, the Webster County Supervisors decided to cut funding to the agency while budgeting for the fiscal year. Supervisor Merrill Leffler responds to the agency's claims:
Since initially cutting funding to Elderbridge in 2008, Webster County has no reinstated funding at any level to the agency.
