The Fort Dodge Police Department is getting set to host it's fourth Citizens Academy class starting next month. Chief Tim Carmody says the free class, which starts April 16, will meet every Tuesday night for 8 weeks. Topics of discussion include 911 communications, crime scene investigations, and Webster County Crime Stoppers. Carmody say the goal of the Citizens Academy is to raise awareness and provide a first-hand look at public safety services:
The deadline to apply for Citizens Academy is March 29 at 5:00pm. For more information, contact the Fort Dodge Police Department or visit www.fortdodgeiowa.org.
